Free Seminar Series Did you know that to enjoy a beautiful wildflower meadow in the spring (Zones 7-11) requires sowing seed in the fall? Wildseed Farms Market Center near Fredericksburg, Texas will host its annual Fall Planting Days Kick-Off, September 10th through September 12th 2010. John R. Thomas, founder and president of Wildseed Farms, and staff, will lead a daily informative session and demonstration, from 2 to 4 pm, on how to successfully grow bluebonnets and other wildflowers. Wildseed Farms is the largest, family-owned wildflower farm in the United States. Wildseed Farms Market Center is located seven miles east of Fredericksburg on US Highway 290 and is open daily from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm CST. No reservations necessary!

April 3rd - 18th 2010 Wildseed Farms & Pedernales River Valley will host the 11th annual Wildflower Celebration at Wildseed Farms. Chuckwagon-style dutch oven biscuts for sampling our delicious jams and jellies All Day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

July 23rd and 24th 2010 is our FOURTH annual Gourmet Chili Pepper and Salsa Festival 2010. The 2009 Gourmet Chili Pepper & Salsa Festival was fantastic, with a hot air balloon glow and launch, and super bands playing on Friday and Saturday nights. Approximately thirty vendors reported a brisk business with product tasting and lots of purchases by the festival guests! Our chef demonstrations were a big hit, with some new talent on the stage as well as some chefs who participated in the 2008 festival. Stay tuned for information on the 2010 festival!
